Huge Savings on Your Printing Costs from Inkman -- highly recommended, this is where I get all my HP refills.

There are hundreds of job listing, employment and career services sites available online. The most daunting task is choosing reputable services that aren't there to just grab your personal information and sell it to others.

Job hunting on the Internet can be fun, efficient and effective. However, if you don't get organized and "on purpose" it could chew up all of your available time and more.

Start by poking around on a few of the bigger employment listing services. test their search capabilities and check out their focus. It does no good to be looking for entertainment or creative jobs on a board that is dedicated to listing sports jobs or accounting and money management jobs.

In most cases the company doing the hiring pays for the service. There are also sites that charge service fees to users that are looking for a job. I've made a few notes to let you know who pays for what.

Here are a few of the career services and job hunting sites I recommend. I will continue to add to this list as I find reputable and useful services..

CareerBuilder
has over 900,000 jobs to search. Every city, state, job type, and industry are searchable. Job seekers will be impressed by the wide range of clients - Fortune 500 companies to medium and small sized businesses. Applying to jobs on CareerBuilder is free for job seekers. There are two employment services that you may be interested in purchasing: resume writing and resume distribution.

Employers and recruiters post jobs on CareerBuilder by filling out a detailed form, and paying a listing fee.

Find your dream job in the Entertainment Industry. You will find a mix of regular and freelance jobs at this entertainment specific website. Some of the employers advertising here are Hallmark, MGM, Music Magazine, Universal Studios, Hearst Entertainment and more.

Vault has loads of employment listings... with several special channels for $100K a year jobs, tech jobs and consulting contracts. I did a search on "communications/design" with the key word "writing" and got a list of 41 job postings. From website writing to editing to speech writing. Several of the jobs were telecommuting jobs which means you don't have to get dressed in the morning. Give it a go!

Monster.com There are some very prestigious companies searching for employees on this site. The Resume Search function allows employers to search the world’s largest talent pool of Resumes and quickly zero in on the exact candidates they will need. Job seekers can store their resume online to apply for jobs. Thousands of great job available, with country specific searches.

Job.com Gain access to thousands of employers by posting your resume for free.

The Ladders The Ladders is the most comprehensive site for $100k+ jobs, publishing four different newsletters that cater to the $100k+ professional: FinanceLadder, SalesLadder, MktgLadder and UpLadder. If you are in this compensation range (or getting there) you must check this site out. They have a limited trial signup so you can decide if you want to pay for the full service.

Each month, they scan over 90,000 jobs and select 4,500 real, open $100k+ jobs and include them in their weekly newsletters. In almost two years, they've grown to over 320,000 readers of the free version. Their premium service is only $25/month and gives high-level job seekers unlimited access to the 4,000 jobs they send out each week. Since most job-seekers at this level are already far too busy, this is a very focused and time-saving service.

WorkTree You've got to pay for access to this site ... but they offer a 100% guarantee if you don't get a job within 90 days. Once you join there are loads of resources including 14 books on how to get work.
